2019 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC CLASS Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC Class has two recalls of equal severity, one where a fuel leak in the engine compartment can create a fire risk, and one where a damaged crankshaft can fail suddenly under hard acceleration and cause a crash. On the fuel side, small particles can damage the seals where the fuel injectors meet the fuel rail, allowing raw fuel to escape into the engine compartment. On the engine side, a crankshaft with surface damage may weaken over time and break under high load, resulting in sudden engine failure with no power to the wheels.
