The electrical system also carries a fire risk: a ground connection bolt under the driver's seat can loosen and overheat, potentially igniting a fire. On the safety equipment side, a wiring harness for a crash sensor may be routed incorrectly and can sustain damage in a collision, causing the front airbags to deploy with excessive force and raising the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.
