The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving reduced braking performance that raises the risk of a crash.
The two remaining recalls both affect the vehicle's automatic emergency call system, which is designed to contact emergency services after a crash. In one case, the system can become disabled entirely, meaning a call for help may never go through. In the other, the system can transmit an incorrect location, sending emergency responders to the wrong place. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the underlying issue, which is why two separate campaigns exist for the same system.
