The 2018 Nissan Versa Note has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the side curtain airbags, where a component can break loose during deployment and become a projectile inside the cabin, raising the risk of injury to occupants.
A related airbag recall covers the same side curtain system: the inflator diffuser may also detach during deployment, compounding the risk of loose parts in the cabin during a crash. On the electrical side, certain Versa Note vehicles with a physical key ignition can experience an unexpected stall while driving, cutting power to the engine and raising the chance of a crash. There is also a camera concern: the backup camera display may fail to show an image when the vehicle is in reverse, leaving the driver without a rear view and increasing the risk of striking something or someone behind the vehicle.
