The 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo has two recalls, both involving occupant safety systems: a rear seat belt anchor that can detach in a crash, and a front passenger sensor that can fail to detect an occupant and suppress the airbag.
The rear outboard seat belt anchors may not have been properly tightened at the seat frame, meaning the belt can pull free during a collision rather than restraining the occupant. On the front passenger side, the seat occupancy sensor mat can degrade over time and stop detecting a passenger, causing the airbag to stay dormant in a crash when it should deploy.
