The 2021 Porsche Panamera GTS has 3 recalls, with two tied for most serious: moisture entering the climate control system's coolant pump can cause an electrical short and start a fire, and a front suspension arm may break and cause sudden loss of steering control.
The front lower trailing arms, which connect the wheel assembly to the chassis, can fail without warning, leaving the driver unable to steer or maintain a straight path. On the fire risk, humidity getting into the external coolant pump creates a short circuit that can ignite the vehicle. There is also a safety equipment concern: the rear seatbelt retractors on certain vehicles may not properly lock a child safety seat in place, leaving the seat inadequately secured in a crash.
