The 2025 Rivian R1T has 7 recalls, the most serious being a high-voltage electrical connection that can lose drive power without warning, raising the risk of a crash.
Two recalls involve seatbelts: mounting bolts on one or both front seatbelt anchorages may not be properly installed, and the bolts securing the second-row seatbelt retractors may be insufficiently tightened — in either case the belt can fail to hold an occupant in a crash. The Hands-Free Highway Assist system has two related concerns: the software can fail to recognize a vehicle ahead, and under certain conditions the system may otherwise not function correctly, leaving the driver without the expected assistance. One or both front turn signals may also fail to illuminate and flash, giving other drivers and pedestrians no indication the truck is about to change direction. Finally, on vehicles that have had prior suspension service, the toe link may have been reassembled incorrectly and can separate, affecting steering geometry.
