The 2025 Tesla Model X has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the driver's airbag, which can tear during deployment and fail to properly cushion the driver in a crash.
The airbag concern extends to a second issue: certain vehicles may have been built with an incorrect horn pad installed in the airbag assembly, which prevents the horn from sounding at all. A driver who cannot sound the horn has no quick way to warn pedestrians or other vehicles of an immediate hazard. On the electrical side, a short on the computer circuit board can cause the rearview camera to go blank, leaving the driver without any rear view image while backing up.
