The 2022 Volvo S60 has 4 recalls, the most serious being a high-voltage battery that can short circuit while parked at full charge, raising the risk of fire, and a software error that can prevent the engine from starting and leave the vehicle without drive power as the battery drains.
Two safety equipment recalls round out the list. The front passenger airbag may not be properly secured in its housing, which can cause it to deploy incorrectly in a crash and fail to protect the occupant. There is also a rear seatbelt concern: the automatic locking retractors can deactivate too early, preventing a child safety seat from being held firmly in place, which raises the risk of injury in a crash.
