2022 VOLVO XC40 Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2022 Volvo XC40 has two recalls, both affecting the Recharge electric variant and both capable of causing a sudden loss of control while driving. In certain downhill driving scenarios where the regenerative braking system is active through "B" mode or One Pedal Drive, the vehicle can lose brake function entirely. Separately, the battery management system's microprocessor can reset unexpectedly, cutting off the high-voltage system and leaving the vehicle without drive power.
