On certain vehicles, the tell-tale (warning light) for the antilock brake system (ABS) doesn't light up in the instrument cluster when you start the vehicle. Canadian regulations require the ABS tell-tale to turn on during the start-up sequence to tell you that the ABS is working.
Note: The braking system will continue to work normally, and the ABS tell-tale will turn on when there is a problem with the ABS.
Safety Risk
If the ABS tell-tale does not turn on during start-up, you may not know if the ABS is working correctly. A problem with the ABS will cause a warning message to appear on the vehicle's central information display screen, even if the ABS tell-tail fails.
Remedy
BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer update the vehicle software.
On certain vehicles, the owner's manual doesn't properly describe how the passenger-front airbag works when the "Passenger Airbag On" light is on. This could cause you to misunderstand how the passenger airbag works.
Safety Risk
Incorrect information about how the airbag system works could cause confusion, and create an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
Bentley will send each owner a sticker to update the owner's manual with the correct description for how the passenger airbag works. They will also provide you with instructions for where to put it. If you would like help installing the label, a Bentley dealer will install it for you.
Bentley Motors, Inc. (Bentley) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Bentayga, Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Continental GT Convertible vehicles. The owner's manual incorrectly states that the air bag system will not deploy when the "Passenger Airbag On" symbol is illuminated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Safety Risk
The incorrect information may change how occupants position themselves in relation to the air bags, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy
Bentley will mail new labels to owners. Owners may apply the label themselves or have a dealer apply the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 10, 2022. On certain vehicles, the odometer may not display properly after reaching 21,472 km. This error could lead you not to know how far the vehicle has travelled. As a result, an owner could miss or delay important vehicle maintenance.
Note: Only the Wrangler 4xe model is affected by this recall.

Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster software. If your vehicle has over 21,472 km, and the odometer does not display, the instrument panel cluster will be replaced.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. After reaching 13,342 miles, the odometer will no longer display vehicle mileage. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
Safety Risk
A missing odometer reading could lead to an unintended delay in critical safety-related maintenance, potentially impairing the safe operation of the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) software on vehicles with less than 13,342 miles, and replace the IPC on vehicles in which the mileage is not displayed, free of charge. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia vehicles. These vehicles may be equipped with tires that have a lesser load rating than intended for the vehicle. Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2021 Tracer 900 GT (MTT9GTM) motorcycles. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) printed on the Federal Certification label may not match the VIN stamped on the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Safety Risk
An owner that references an incorrect VIN label may not recognize their vehicle is involved in a safety recall, and may not have the recall remedy performed, which could increase the risk of injury, fire, or a crash.

On certain vehicles, the rear license plate bracket is not positioned correctly. As a result, the license plate lamps may not provide even lighting for the license plate. Canadian regulations have specific requirements for license plate lighting.

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2022 X4 xDrive30i, X4 M40i, and X4M vehicles. The rear license plate may not be illuminated properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The incorrectly positioned license plate lamp cutouts could cause confusion to other drivers on the road, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Ranger Super Cab vehicles equipped with rear seats containing fixed head restraints. The fixed head restraints may interfere with proper installation of certain types of child seats. Additionally, the child seat may not attach properly to the lower-rear anchors. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage System."

An improperly attached child seat can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rear-lower child restraint anchorages for correct alignment and adjust as necessary. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Cadillac CT6 vehicles. The Park/Position lights may be excessively bright. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The excessive brightness may affect the vision of other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

On certain vehicles, the turn signal indicator does not flash quickly to indicate when a turn signal bulb is not working. Canadian regulations require a change in the flash rate of the turn signal indicator when a turn signal bulb stops working.
Safety Risk
This problem could cause a driver to be unaware that the turn signals are not working. Turn signals that do not work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to update the body control module (BCM) software.
On certain vehicles, the repairs for recall 2021-052 may not have been properly completed. As a result, a second inspection is necessary. On certain vehicles, the outside of the driver's sun visor does not have the required airbag warning label. Canadian regulations require that information about the airbag system is provided on both sides of the sun visor.

This label provides a driver with information about the airbags and/or child restraint safety recommendations. Not following these recommendations could create an increased risk of injury.
Remedy

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Ram 1500 vehicles. The incorrect-size spare tire may have been installed, which does not match the tire size and inflation pressure information on the tire placard.
