THE INTERIOR SURFACE OF THE THREADED HOLE FOR THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER BRAKE HOSES MAY CONTAIN POROUS SPOTS WHICH WOULD ALLOW BRAKE FLUID TO SEEP OUT OF THE CALIPERS DURING HEAVY BRAKE APPLICATIONS. THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN FATIGUE CRACKING OF THE BLADES AND SEPARATION OF FRAGMENTS FROM THE FAN ASSEMBLY. THIS COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO UNDERHOOD COMPONENTS AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY TO SERVICE PERSONNEL.
METAL FASTENERS USED TO SECURE THE CARPETING TO THE FLOOR PAN MAY HAVE BEEN MILOCATED AND MAY HAVE PENETRATED THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK. THIS CONDITION MAY ALLOW FUEL LEAKAGE.
CERTAIN FRONT SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES MANUFACTURED BY NSK WARNER LTD. (MODELS NSB 1020-1022) MAY BECOME UNLATCHED UNDER HIGH BELT LOADS SUCH AS EXPERIENCED IN A COLLISION.
THE ALUMINUM REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT ATTACHMENTS MAY NOT CONTAIN CERTAIN INTENDED CORROSION PROTECTION COMPONENTS. IN CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTS WHERE LARGE AMOUNTS OF ROAD SALT ARE USED, THE ALUMINUM REINFORCEMENT COULD EXPERIENCE GALVANIC CORROSION AT THE ATTACHMENT SURFACES POSSIBLY RESULTING IN REAR BUMPER DETACHMENT.
THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUEL SUPPLY AND FUEL VAPOUR RETURN HOSES MAY HARDEN AND BECOME BRITTLE. FLEXING OF HARDENED HOSES DUE TO ENGINE VIBRATION MAY CAUSE THE HOSES TO CRACK POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A FUEL LEAK.
THE SECONDARY HOOD CATCH MAY BIND IN AN OPEN POSITION DUE TO INADEQUATE CATCH TO MOUNTING BASE PIVOT SURFACE CLEARANCE. THIS CONDITION RESULTS IN AN INOPERATIVE SECONDARY CATCH WHICH MAY NOT RETAIN THE HOOD IN THE EVENT THE PRIMARY HOOD CATCH IS NOT ENGAGED.
THE ALTERNATOR FIELD WIRING TERMINAL CONNECTIONS MAY LOOSEN DUE TO ENGINE VIBRATION. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN OPEN CIRCUIT CONDITION CAUSING A LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER.
