On certain vehicles, the hinge and roller assemblies supporting the rear of the sliding side door are subject to failure as a result of processing deficiencies in the aluminum hinge body. Should failure occur, the loss of support may allow separation of the door from the vehicle during door operation.
On certain Volvo 264 and 265, a lack of lubricant in the rear axle bearing could cause a bearing failure. Continued use of the vehicle may cause the rear wheel and hub to separate from the vehicle causing a loss of vehicle control and possible vehicle crash.
THE POWER WINDOW SYSTEM ON THE SUBJECT VEHICLES DOES NOT FULLY COMPLY WITH C.M.V.S.S. 118.

On certain Monza 2+2, Skyhawk and Starfire vehicles, the strength of the conventional spare tire hold down "J" bolt may be inadequate in the event of a severe frontal collision. If such a collision occurs, the "J" bolt could straighten and the spare tire and wheel come loose and travel forward into the passenger area of the vehicle, increasing the possibility of occupant injury. Vehicles produced with the space-saver spare tire are also being included in this campaign even though the space-saver spare tire is stored in a well in the body.
On certain vehicles, an incorrect muffler orientation can result in close proximity of the muffler to both the body floor and the right rear hanger rubber strap.
