Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain 2019-2020 and 2022 FTR 1200, 2019-2020 FTR 1200 S, and 2020 FTR 1200 Rally motorcycles. The coolant junction may leak.
Safety Risk
Hot coolant leaking on a rider can increase the risk of injury. Coolant leaking on the rear tire can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the coolant junction, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 28, 2022. Owners may contact Indian customer service at 1-877-204-3697. Indian's number for this recall is I-22-04.

On certain 540d xDrive models, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler could crack internally and leak. If this happens, you may notice the following symptoms: a warning symbol in the instrument cluster displaying a loss of coolant, reduced engine power, an unpleasant exhaust odour, an unusual noise from the engine and/or smoke from the engine compartment.

A cracked EGR cooler could create the risk of an engine fire.
Remedy
BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the EGR module. The dealer will also inspect the intake manifold, and replace it, if necessary.
On certain hybrid models, an engine failure can cause a significant buildup of engine oil and/or fuel vapour under the hood. In some cases, this could cause a fire.
Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 2.5 L HEV or PHEV engine.

To reduce the safety risk, Ford recommends that you should shut off the engine as soon as possible if you hear unusual engine noises, see smoke from the engine compartment, or believe the engine has failed.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 Lincoln Aviator and Ford Explorer vehicles. The engine rails may have been improperly heat-treated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 301, "Fuel System Integrity."

Improperly heat-treated engine rails may reduce the vehicle's structural protection in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. In addition, an engine rail may detach and contact the road while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will perform an engine rail strength test and replace the rails as necessary, free of charge. If the engine rails require replacement, owners will have the option for a vehicle replacement or buyback. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2022. On certain motorcycles equipped with a manual transmission, incorrect programming in the engine control unit (ECU) may cause the engine to stall. This could happen when the clutch lever is pulled in, with the transmission in 2nd gear or higher, and a closed throttle.

On certain trucks equipped with a gasoline engine, the connector for the oil pressure sensor was wired incorrectly. As a result, the oil pressure warning light will not turn on when the engine oil pressure is low. Operating the engine with low oil pressure could cause damage or an engine failure.

Remedy
Isuzu will notify owners by mail. For unsold trucks, an Isuzu dealer will repair the engine harness wiring assembly connector before it is sold. For vehicles that have been sold, the corrective actions are still under development.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. An engine compartment fire may occur while driving or parked, even with the ignition in the "Off" position.

A vehicle fire increases the risk of injury.
Remedy
Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures and other vehicles, until the remedy is performed. Dealers will inspect and replace the battery junction box, as necessary, and remove a ground wire. On models equipped with standard-duty radiator fan motors, dealers will also install an auxiliary electrical box with a wire jumper. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim owner notification letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed May 25, 2022. Owners will receive a second letter once the remedy is available. Currently the remedy is available for vehicles equipped with heavy-duty radiator fan motors, and those letters were mailed July 21, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Hyundai Auto Canada is conducting a Product Improvement Campaign that provides an update to the engine control module to detect potential problems before an engine fails. An engine failure would cause a sudden loss of power with an inability to restart.
Note: This only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 2.0 L Nu GDI engine. For the Sonata model, only the Sonata Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) models are affected by this campaign. This is an expansion of R0180 (Transport Canada #2021-575). Any vehicle that received a software update under campaign R0180 does not require this update.

On certain vehicles equipped with a 1.5 L Ecoboost engine, the engine oil separator could leak. If this happens, oil could leak onto hot engine parts.

Oil that leaks onto hot engine parts could cause a fire.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the engine oil separator for damage and leaks. The oil separator and seals will be replaced, if necessary.
On certain vehicles, the oil strainer for the turbocharger oil supply could get blocked. If this happens, a turbocharger could fail. This could cause loss of engine power and/or cause the engine to stall.
Note: This problem could cause different warning messages to display or the engine oil warning light to turn on.

Remedy
Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the oil strainer for the turbocharger oil supply. The dealer will also inspect and document the performance of the boost pressure system and change the engine oil.
The engine cover may come loose in certain driving conditions. If this happens, the engine cover could contact hot surfaces in the engine compartment and melt.

An engine cover that melts onto a hot surface could create the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to remove the engine cover. Volkswagen will send you another notice once a replacement engine cover is available, and will ask you to take your vehicle to a dealer to have it installed.
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2022 Golf GTI and Golf R vehicles. Certain driving situations, such as high acceleration driving maneuvers, may loosen the engine design cover.
Safety Risk
A loose engine design cover may contact hot surfaces in the engine compartment and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will remove the engine design cover, free of charge. Once parts become available, Volkswagen will provide a free updated engine design cover under a separate Service Action. On certain vehicles equipped with an N52 or N52K 6-cylinder engine, a manufacturing problem could cause the PCV valve heater (blow-by heater) to short circuit and overheat.
Note: This replaces Transport Canada recalls 2017-470 and 2019-170. Only vehicles equipped with an N52 or N52K engine require this repair.
