The 2011 Porsche Panamera 4 has 4 recalls, the most serious being a rollaway risk and an electrical short that can cause a fire if the vehicle is exited without the transmission properly in Park and the parking brake applied.
The electrical short concern is separate: a fault in the electrical system can create conditions for a fire, independent of how the vehicle is operated. On the engine side, camshaft controllers can come loose internally, causing the engine to stall without warning and leaving the driver without power at an inopportune moment. There is also a headlight recall covering a broad range of Porsche models and years: the headlights on certain vehicles may be improperly aimed, either failing to light the road ahead adequately or throwing glare into the eyes of oncoming drivers.
