Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025-2026 VNL (4) vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 121, "Air Brake Systems."
Safety Risk
A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.
Remedy
Dealers will install an additional brake valve and fittings to the service brake pneumatic plumbing, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed May 22, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in May 24, 2026.Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Audi RS E-Tron GT and Audi E-Tron GT vehicles. The front axle brake hoses can develop tears, causing a leak and a brake circuit failure.
Safety Risk
A failed brake circuit can cause longer brake pedal travel and reduced braking performance, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the front axle brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 6, 2024. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 47UP.
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2024 Audi Q8 Sportback E-Tron Quattro and Q8 E-Tron Quattro vehicles. The brake line connection may have been over-tightened and fail, resulting in a brake fluid leak and reduced braking ability.
Safety Risk
Reduced braking ability can cause longer brake pedal travel or extend the distance required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the brake pressure line as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 9, 2024. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 47DE.
Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2019 YZF-R3 motorcycles. The brake hose holder may come loose, potentially causing damage to the brake hose protector and hose, resulting in a brake fluid leak.
Safety Risk
A brake fluid leak can reduce braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake hose holder, free of charge. The recall began February 28, 2020. Yamaha customer service at 1-800-962-7926. Yamaha's number for this recall is 990134. Note: Motorcycles in this recall are also affected by NHTSA recall number 20V-071.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2016 Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks manufactured April 15, 2015, to December 15, 2015, and equipped with rear air suspension. In the affected vehicles, the rear brake hoses may contact and chafe on the rear axle housing while driving.
Safety Risk
A chafed rear brake line may result in an air leak, reducing the rear braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will install revised rear brake air chambers and replace any damaged rear air brake lines, free of charge. The recall began on February 9, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S38.
CERTAIN MEDIUM DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH AIR BRAKES THAT INCLUDE THE OPTIONAL TRAILER PACKAGE FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 121, "AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS." THE AIR BRAKE LINES CONNECTED TO THE TRACTOR PROTECTION VALVE ARE MISROUTED.

A LEAK IN THE PRIMARY AIR CIRCUIT OR SECONDARY AIR CIRCUIT COULD RESULT IN A REDUCTION OR LOSS OF THE TRAILER BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL RE-ROUTE THE AIR LINES CONNECTED TO THE TRACTOR PROTECTION VALVE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JANUARY 31, 2002. OWNERS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT FORD AT 1-800-248-0186.
