2014 Acura RDX

The 2014 Acura RDX has 3 recalls, the most serious being a Takata airbag inflator that can rupture and send metal fragments into the driver or other occupants, potentially causing serious injury or death.

The airbag concern covers the driver-side frontal airbag inflator, which can explode with enough force to scatter sharp metal shards through the cabin when the bag deploys in a crash. This is a well-known defect that has caused fatalities in other vehicles, and prior repair attempts in earlier recall waves did not fully resolve the issue across all affected vehicles.

On the fuel system side, the fuel pump can fail without warning while the vehicle is in motion, cutting engine power and leaving the driver without acceleration or the ability to maintain speed in traffic.
