The 2023 Acura RDX has two recalls, both rated at the same severity level, with the most consequential being a faulty passenger seat occupant sensor that can cause the front passenger airbag to deploy unintentionally in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
The second recall involves a ball valve in the brake stability module that can leak brake fluid internally. When the brake hold feature is active, this leak can cause the vehicle to move unexpectedly, and drivers may also notice the brake pedal traveling farther than normal before the brakes engage fully.
