The 2022 Acura TLX has 4 recalls, with the most serious being a brake pedal that can shift out of position due to an unsecured pivot pin, potentially preventing the driver from braking as intended.
The tires on certain vehicles may have sustained cuts and tears during manufacturing, which can cause a sudden loss of air pressure and loss of vehicle control. There is also a fuel system concern: the fuel filler neck and tank may have been improperly welded, allowing fuel to leak near potential ignition sources and raising the risk of a fire. On the safety equipment side, the front passenger seat sensor can misread occupant presence, causing the airbag to deploy unintentionally in a crash rather than responding correctly to who is seated there.
