The 2023 Acura TLX has 3 recalls, covering a brake pedal that can shift out of position and prevent the driver from slowing the car, a fuel leak that raises the risk of fire, and a front passenger airbag sensor that can misfire in a crash.
The brake pedal's pivot pin was not properly secured, which can allow the pedal to move out of alignment and reduce or eliminate braking response. On the fuel side, the filler neck and tank may have been welded incorrectly, allowing fuel to leak where it can contact an ignition source. There is also a concern with the front passenger seat sensor: it can misread occupant presence and cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly in a crash, raising the risk of injury rather than reducing it.
