The 2012 Audi A7 has 5 recalls, the most serious being three separate fuel system fire risks: the fuel injection system, a degrading engine compartment fuel hose, and a fuel line with a compression point that weakens over time can all leak fuel near potential ignition sources.
Both remaining recalls involve the front passenger seat's occupant detection system. The sensor mat inside the seat can wear or develop stress over time, causing the detection module to malfunction. When that happens, the front passenger airbag may not deploy correctly in a crash, raising the risk of injury to that occupant.
