The 2013 Audi A7 has 5 recalls, the most serious being three separate fuel system issues where leaking fuel near ignition sources in the engine compartment raises the risk of an engine fire.
The fuel concerns cover the fuel injection rail, a degrading engine compartment fuel hose, and a fuel line with a compression point that can weaken over time, each capable of allowing fuel to escape near heat sources. The remaining two recalls both involve the front passenger seat sensor that determines whether the seat is occupied by an adult, child, or is empty. In one case the sensor can malfunction and cause the passenger airbag to deploy incorrectly in a crash, and in the other, stress or wear on the sensing mat inside the seat cushion can cause the same detection system to fail, again leaving the passenger airbag unable to deploy as intended.
