The 2010 Audi Q5 has 4 recalls, the most serious being a driver's frontal airbag inflator that can rupture during deployment and send metal fragments into the cabin, potentially causing serious injury.
The remaining three recalls involve fuel system and fire risk concerns. The fuel pump flange can crack and allow gasoline to leak, raising the risk of a fire if the fuel contacts an ignition source. A prior repair using butyl tape as a temporary fix for this same leak may not fully seal the flange, so vehicles that received that interim remedy remain at risk until the full replacement is completed.
