The high-pressure fuel pump's supply line can become porous over time and leak fuel near potential ignition sources in the engine bay, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, resulting in a second recall covering a wider range of model years for the same underlying problem. There is also a risk that the engine compartment seal can work loose and contact hot engine components, which can also lead to a fire. On the visibility side, certain vehicles built between March and July 2013 and equipped with the standard sunroof have a glass panel that can shatter unexpectedly while driving, sending glass into the cabin and potentially distracting the driver.
