2026 BMW 2 Series

The 2026 BMW 2 Series has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a body panel behind the right tail light housing that can allow water into the trunk, disabling the parking distance sensors and electric power steering, and creating a risk of electrical arcing from damaged wiring.

The restraint system recall involves rear outboard seatbelts that may have been damaged during production, leaving them unable to hold an occupant in place during a crash or properly lock down a child seat. The vehicle's lower child seat anchors are unaffected and remain usable. There is also a separate rear lighting issue where the taillights, brake lights, or turn signals can stop working, leaving other drivers without warning when the car is slowing or changing lanes. A dashboard warning message will appear when this fault is present.
