2024 BMW 750e

The 2024 BMW 750e has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the braking system, where a malfunction can reduce or eliminate power brake assist, disable anti-lock brakes, and shut down stability control, all of which extend stopping distances and reduce the driver's ability to maintain control.

These braking system issues are covered by two related filings that describe the same underlying problem with the integrated brake control module, and prior repair attempts may not have fully resolved the issue across all affected vehicles. When brake assist drops out, the driver must press the pedal harder than normal to achieve the same stopping force. Without anti-lock brakes, the wheels can lock under hard braking, reducing the ability to steer around an obstacle. Without stability control, the vehicle becomes harder to manage in a skid or during a sharp maneuver. The third recall concerns the steering wheel's ground connection, which on some vehicles was not attached correctly. This disables the hands-on detection system that monitors whether the driver is actively holding the wheel. When that system stops working, it cannot trigger the emergency stopping assistant, a feature that automatically brings the car to a controlled stop if the driver becomes unresponsive.
