The 2017 BMW M3 has two recalls, both rated at the same severity level, covering structural and drivetrain issues that can reduce vehicle control and raise the risk of a crash.
On the chassis side, rear sub-frame bolts on certain vehicles may have been reused during a prior differential service rather than replaced, and those bolts can loosen over time, affecting handling and stability. On the drivetrain side, the connection between the driveshaft and its flange can fail, cutting power to the wheels and leaving the car unable to accelerate or maintain speed.
