The 2021 Chevrolet Camaro has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the 10-speed automatic transmission, which can suffer internal damage and cause the wheels to lock up while driving.
A separate drivetrain concern involves the axle shafts, which may be missing a retaining ring and can separate from the vehicle while driving, causing a sudden loss of drive power. On the safety equipment side, incorrect bolts may have been used to anchor the seatbelts to the vehicle structure, which can allow the belt to pull free in a crash and fail to restrain the occupant. There is also an airbag concern: the plastic "Camaro" emblem on the steering wheel airbag cover can break apart during deployment and send fragments toward the driver.
