2014 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette has 3 recalls, the most serious involving rear shock absorbers that can separate from their mounting brackets and cause a sudden loss of handling control. The airbag system accounts for two recalls. In certain vehicles, the airbag diagnostic module can develop an internal short circuit that shuts down both the airbags and the seatbelt pretensioners, leaving occupants without crash protection. A separate recall affects vehicles equipped with optional sport seats, where the side airbag deployment geometry can pose an increased neck injury risk to an unbelted young child in a crash.
