The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has two recalls, the more serious being a passenger-side airbag inflator that can explode and send metal fragments into the cabin, causing serious injury or death.
This recall applies to vehicles originally sold or registered in high-humidity states and territories, including Florida, Texas, California, Hawaii, and several others. The second recall affects trucks equipped with certain onboard fire extinguishers, either plastic-handle or push-button "Pindicator" models, that may fail to discharge properly during a fire, leaving occupants without a working suppression tool when they need it.
