The 2005 Chrysler 300 has two recalls, both involving seatbelt and occupant restraint failures that can leave passengers inadequately protected in a crash. One recall covers the rear floor pan, where a spot weld securing the rear seatbelt and child seat anchors may be missing, allowing those anchors to pull free in a collision and fail to restrain rear-seat occupants. The other affects the front shoulder belt height adjuster, where a mounting bolt may not have been tightened properly, which can cause the belt to lose its anchor point and fail to hold a front occupant during a crash.
