The 2012 Chrysler Town and Country has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a rear wheel hub and bearing assembly that can fail and cause the wheel to separate from the vehicle while driving.
The wheel separation risk affects a narrow window of production vehicles, but the consequence is a potential loss of control and crash. On the equipment side, certain vehicles fitted with Rollx-brand QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraints have a latch that may not secure the wheelchair properly, allowing it to shift or roll during transit and raising the risk of injury to the occupant. There is also a concern with the power liftgate: a faulty pinch sensor on the right side may not detect an obstruction quickly enough during the final closing motion, meaning the liftgate can close with enough force to injure a hand or fingers caught in its path.
