The 2015 Chrysler Town and Country has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the automatic transmission pump, which can seize and cut hydraulic pressure, causing the vehicle to suddenly lose power while driving.
The windshield on certain vehicles may have been installed with expired bonding primer, which weakens its attachment to the body. In a crash, the glass can shift or pull away from the frame, removing a critical barrier between occupants and the outside. On vehicles equipped with Rollx QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraints, the securement system can fail to hold the wheelchair in place during transit, allowing it to move freely inside the cabin and strike occupants. There is also a recall covering certain factory-installed fire extinguishers with plastic handles or push-button indicators: the extinguisher may fail to discharge when activated, leaving occupants without a functioning suppression tool if a fire breaks out.
