The windshield and seating recalls add structural concerns. The windshield may have been installed with expired bonding primer, meaning it can separate from the frame in a crash and expose occupants to serious injury. On the seating side, the third-row seatback mounting nuts may have been undertightened during assembly, allowing the seatback to pull away from the seat frame and fail to support a rear passenger in a sudden stop or collision.
There is also a recall covering a Kidde fire extinguisher included with certain vehicles. The extinguisher can fail to discharge properly, leaving occupants without a working suppression tool if a fire breaks out in or around the vehicle.
