The 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan has 4 recalls, the most serious being two electrical hazards: a vent window switch in the driver's door armrest that can overheat and start a fire, and a wiring short in the steering wheel that can cause the driver's airbag to deploy without a crash.
An unexpected airbag deployment can startle the driver and cause a collision. The steering wheel wiring issue has been the subject of more than one recall filing, as prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem. There is also a separate recall affecting vehicles equipped with Rollx QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraints, where the securement system can fail to hold a wheelchair in place during transit, allowing it to shift and potentially injure an occupant.
