1994 Ford Mustang

Recalls 1 and 3 describe the same underlying defect (power lumbar seat wire harness electrical short) filed separately. I'll treat them as one issue.

The 1994 Ford Mustang has 4 recalls, the most serious being a fire risk on GT models where wires supporting the front seat power lumbar harness can puncture through the harness insulation, causing an electrical short that overheats the wiring and can ignite surrounding seat materials.

On the structural side, the bond between the hood's inner and outer panels can begin to separate, and at highway speeds air forcing its way between the layers can pop the outer panel upward and tear it away entirely, creating a road hazard for other vehicles or blocking the driver's view without any warning. The brakes carry a separate concern that only affects manual transmission models: if the parking brake is not fully applied and the vehicle is not left in first gear as the owner's guide instructs, the parking brake's self-adjusting pawl can skip a tooth or two and fail to hold full tension, allowing the car to roll on a grade.
