The 2023 GMC Acadia has 5 recalls, the most serious involving the front driveshafts, which can disconnect from the transmission and cause a sudden loss of drive power or allow the vehicle to roll away when parked.
Two separate recalls cover this driveshaft issue, affecting the right-front and driver-side half-shafts respectively, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem across all affected vehicles. The windshield is also a concern: on certain vehicles, the windshield was assembled without enough bonding sealant and can detach from the body in a crash, raising the risk of injury to occupants. Rounding out the list, the certification label on the driver-side door pillar may have illegible tire size information, which could lead to the wrong tires being installed.
