The 2018 Harley-Davidson FLHTKL has 2 recalls, the most serious involving the clutch, which can fail to disengage and cause the rider to lose control of the motorcycle.
The clutch issue prevents the rider from separating engine power from the drivetrain, which can make the bike difficult or impossible to stop safely. The second recall affects certain bikes equipped with a Harley-Davidson Detachable Tour-Pak Luggage Conversion Kit, where the installation can leave the motorcycle without its rear red reflectors, making it harder for other drivers to see the bike from behind.
