The 2014 Harley-Davidson FXDL has 2 recalls, both centered on the same serious issue: engine vibration can damage or shift the ignition switch, causing the motorcycle to stall without warning while riding and raising the risk of a crash. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem, which is why two separate campaigns address it. The ignition switch can either move to an accessory-only position due to vibration or suffer internal damage from that same vibration, with the end result being the same: the engine cuts out unexpectedly while the bike is in motion.
