The 2015 Honda Fit has 6 recalls, the most serious involving ignition coils that can overheat and stall the engine, and a transmission software issue where the drive pulley shaft can break and cause the front wheels to lock up while driving.
Three recalls concern the side curtain airbags. On certain vehicles, an incorrect A-pillar interior cover can interfere with airbag deployment in a crash. Separately, rear grab handle brackets were not made to specification and can puncture the side curtain airbags as they deploy, leaving outboard occupants without the intended protection. These airbag bracket and cover concerns appear across multiple filings but describe the same underlying deployment risk. The ignition coil issue also appears in more than one filing: in addition to stalling, the coil can overheat and melt, potentially triggering the check engine light or disrupting the fuel injection system.
