2012 HYUNDAI VERACRUZ Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2012 Hyundai Veracruz has 2 recalls, both concerning an oil leak from the front cylinder bank valve cover gasket that can drip onto the alternator, knock out the charging system, and cause the engine to stall while driving. A prior repair attempt did not fully resolve the issue, so a second recall was issued to address the same defect. When the alternator loses power from oil contamination, the charging system warning light comes on and the engine progressively loses power until the vehicle stops, raising the risk of a crash.
