2010 HYUNDAI VERACRUZ Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2010 Hyundai Veracruz has 3 recalls, the most serious being a brake fluid leak into the ABS control module that can cause a short circuit and start a fire, even with the vehicle parked and the engine off. The other two recalls both concern the same underlying problem: oil leaking from the front cylinder bank valve cover gasket can drip onto the alternator, damaging the charging system. When that happens, a warning light appears on the instrument cluster, the engine loses power, and the vehicle can stall while driving. Note that prior repair attempts under an earlier recall did not fully resolve this issue, which is why a second remedy was issued.
