The 2021 Jaguar E-Pace has 8 recalls, the most serious being a DC-DC converter failure on mild-hybrid models that can cut power to the wheels and switch off the exterior lights while driving.
The passenger front airbag is the subject of a separate concern: the cushion can tear during deployment, either failing to properly restrain an occupant in a crash or allowing hot gases to escape and cause burns. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve this issue, and the recall has been addressed in multiple campaigns.
On the brakes side, a software error can prevent the brake pad wear warning light from appearing on the instrument cluster, leaving the driver unaware that the pads are worn down to the point where stopping distances increase.
