The 2017 Jaguar F-Type has 4 recalls, the most serious being a rear suspension defect on SVR models where the lower control arm can separate from the vehicle, causing a sudden and complete loss of steering and handling control.
The suspension concern applies only to SVR trim vehicles, where bolts connecting the rear lower control arms to the knuckle assembly can fail prematurely and allow the arm to detach while driving. The remaining recalls affect seatbelt pretensioners on certain vehicles, where the front belt pretensioners may not fire correctly in a crash, leaving front occupants less restrained at the moment of impact than the system is designed to provide.
