The 2017 Jaguar XF has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a cracked structural panel along the left side of the vehicle's undercarriage that can rupture the fuel lines in a crash, creating a fire risk.
The same sill panel defect is the subject of two filings, but the underlying concern is the same: a left-side impact can break open the underfloor fuel lines, and any nearby ignition source could then cause a fire. There is also an electrical recall where the instrument cluster can go blank without warning, taking away the speedometer and other critical readouts and raising the risk of a crash.
