The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE has 7 recalls, the most serious being a high-voltage battery that can fail internally and catch fire while the vehicle is parked or being driven. Two separate recalls cover unexpected power loss: on 4XE hybrid models, a communication failure between the transmission control module and the hybrid control processor can cause the engine to shut down without warning, while on vehicles with the 3.6L engine, a stuck-open exhaust gas recirculation valve can cause a sudden loss of drive power. There is also a suspension concern where rear coil springs may have been incorrectly installed and can detach from the vehicle while driving.
