The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has 6 recalls, the most serious involving radiator crossmember bolts that may not be properly secured, which can cause airbags to deploy incorrectly and fuel to leak in a crash, raising the risk of fire and injury.
Two additional airbag concerns affect this vehicle: a software error in the occupant restraint controller can delay side airbag deployment in a crash, and a loose connector on the front seat side airbags can prevent them from deploying at all. Second-row head restraints may also fail to lock in the upright position, reducing protection for rear-seat occupants in a crash. On the electronics side, a software error in the instrument cluster can cause the speedometer to show the wrong speed, leaving the driver without an accurate reading. The rearview camera can also fail to display an image when reversing, reducing what the driver can see behind the vehicle.
