The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has 7 recalls, the most serious involving loose B-pillar interior trim that can block the side curtain airbag from fully deploying in a crash, reducing protection against ejection.
A separate airbag concern affects the driver's clockspring, a component behind the steering wheel that carries electrical signals to the airbag; if it fails, the driver's frontal airbag may not deploy in a crash. Third-row occupants also face a restraint issue: the seat belt buckles in that row can be difficult to access or fasten, leaving passengers unbelted. On the visibility side, two software issues can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing when the vehicle is put in reverse, one tied to the park assist module and the other to the radio software, both reducing what the driver can see while backing up. Two exterior trim recalls round out the list: door trim panels and quarter-window trim on both sides of the vehicle can detach while driving and become a hazard for other vehicles on the road.
