2008 KAWASAKI KLR650 Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2008 Kawasaki KLR650 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving muffler mount bolts that can loosen from heat and vibration until the muffler separates from the motorcycle, creating a road hazard and crash risk. The wiring harness can also chafe against the frame until it wears through and cuts engine power, leaving the rider without propulsion in traffic. There is also a concern with the turn signal mounting stalks, which can crack and break, preventing the signals from working and leaving other drivers without warning of an intended turn.
