2010 KIA SEDONA Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2010 Kia Sedona has 5 recalls, the most serious being a front lower control arm that can crack and break, causing sudden loss of steering and vehicle control. The control arm issue is linked to corrosion in salt-belt states, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem, which is why multiple campaigns exist for the same defect. Separately, moisture can enter the anti-lock brake module and cause an electrical short that may start an engine compartment fire, even with the vehicle off. There is also a hood latch concern: the secondary latch can stick in the open position, meaning if the primary latch is accidentally released while driving, the hood can fly up and block the driver's view. On the lighting side, a faulty brake light switch can prevent the stop lamps from illuminating when braking, and it can also keep cruise control from disengaging, leaving following drivers with no warning and the driver without a way to cut engine power.
